Adam Wade, Cold Chain Specialist

Adam Wade is a cold chain consultant and refrigerated logistics specialist. He worked in the fast-moving consumable goods industry across many business units for more than two decades, most recently in refrigerated logistics.

Between 2017 and 2024, Adam was a foundation director of the Australian Food Cold Chain Council (AFCCC), which became the Australian peak body committed to improving innovation, compliance and food safety, and reducing food waste. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Deakin University) and is a member of CPA Australia, the professional accounting body. Adam also has a certification in planning and inventory management (CPIM) with the Australasian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI).

Adam established Keep It Cool Consulting with the mission to improve cold chain operations across Australasia by addressing key inefficiencies that lead to waste and compromised product quality. His significant industry experience and involvement in the AFCCC enables Keep It Cool Consulting to offer a range of specialised services, including cold chain training, education and advice. The company is dedicated to helping businesses create more transparent, accountable and sustainable cold chain capability to improve the customer and consumer experience while reducing product waste.

When the AFCCC closed its operations in August 2024, it anointed director Adam Wade to carry on much of its work in a private capacity and formally transferred many of its unique resources to him. These included codes of practice and training resources it had developed over its seven-year tenure.
