Overview

This Essentials Guide was developed as a Cold Food Code, upgraded from the original Code of Practice for the road transportation of fresh produce (1996) produced by the former Australian United Fresh Transport Advisory Council and authored by Anne Story, a post-harvest researcher. It contains critical knowledge on optimal temperatures and product compatibility to ensure the safe transport of fresh produce. It was designed to reduce spoilage and improve cold chain efficiency.
